making tender ribs

Ribs are an all-time American favorite, and certainly the stores will be stocking their meat department display cases with tons of baby backs and spareribs in preparation for the 4th of July holiday! This how-to-video is about making tender ribs in your oven at home that turn out moist, delicious and taste almost exactly like you’ve cooked them on the grill. This video shares 3 key things about making tender ribs:

  1. A fantastic recipe for baby back ribs using both a dry rub and a sweet and spicy BBQ sauce from Steven Raichlen’s awesome book: Ribs, Ribs, Ribs.

  2. How to cook ribs in your oven that taste pretty damn close to how good they taste off the grill.
  3. The trick to make tender ribs every time by using heavy-duty aluminum foil as part of the cooking process (and the tip works on a grill, smoker or in your oven)

The video is 10 minutes long, and explains the entire process, showing you each step. The total prep time is about 10 minutes, and total cook time is 2 hours. The recipe is copyrighted but you can buy the book or use any favorite recipe for a rub and sauce.

Enjoy, and comments welcome!

great recipe. I have done a varient on this for several years where I cook the dry rubbed ribs in a 50/50 combo of apple and grape juice within foil for the first hour then unwrapped for 2 hours then with sauce till carmalized.
